Do I loose the copyrights on my song when I submit?
By submitting your songs to Songservice.com you don’t loose any of your copyrights. We even encourage you to register your copyrights with a copyright organization (such as ASCAP or BMI). Only when we offer you a publishing contract we might mutually agree to split future revenues from your copyrights. So you only share your rights if we will make money for you!

I only write lyrics, no music. Can I still submit?
Yes you can, and please do. If we are impressed by your words, we will mediate to find a composer/producer for you to work with.

Can songwriters also access your online catalog?
Access to the online catalog is restricted to music industry professionals, based on membership. Professional songwriters can sign-up for a subscription as well.

Can I also submit my songs by sending you a CD or tape?
Yes you can, but only if we have previously approved this. The reason for this is that we work with a team of editors around the world who will review your songs. To be able to send you a review report within reasonable timeframes we want to avoid shipping tapes and CD’s all over the globe. Therefore, we really encourage you to submit electronically. Should creating an MP3 of your song is really impossible for you, then please contact us at support@songservice.com.

No, both submitting and receiving the review report is completely free.

Not if you tell us not to.

Not until you have signed a publishing contract with us. If we turn your submission down, we will no longer keep a copy of your material.
