By submitting your songs to Songservice.com you don’t loose any of your copyrights. We do encourage you to register your copyrights with a copyright organization (such as ASCAP or BMI). Only when we offer you a publishing contract we might mutually agree to split future revenues from your copyrights. So you only share your rights if we will make money for you! top
Yes you can. If we are impressed by your words, we will mediate to find a composer/producer for you to work with. We do not provide detailed reviews for lyric only submissions, though. top
Yes you can, and please do. If we like your sound, we will mediate and find a lyricist for you to work with, so that words can be added to your instrumentals. We also work with filmmusic, jingles and tunes. top
Access to the online catalog is restricted to music industry professionals, based on membership. Professional songwriters can sign-up for a subscription as well. This is a paid service. top
Yes you can, but only if we have previously approved this. The reason for this is that we work with a team of editors around the world who will review your songs. To be able to send you a review report within reasonable timeframes we want to avoid shipping tapes and CD’s all over the globe. Therefore, we really encourage you to submit electronically. Should creating an MP3 of your song is really impossible for you, then please contact us at support@songservice.com. |

Do I have to pay for submission
or for the review report?
Will Songservice.com use my personal data for marketing or other commercial purposes? Will Songservice.com publish the mp3s I send them? I have submitted a song, but haven't heard anything back from Songservice.com? top
No, both submitting and receiving the review report is completely free. top
Not if you tell us not to. You are asked about this on the submit form, where you provide your details. top
Not until you have signed a publishing contract with us. If we turn your submission down, we will no longer keep a copy of your material. top

We receive dozens of songs each week, and only have limited resources available to provide the free review service. Therefore, in some cases review times may be up to two months, or over. We will not respond to emails enquiring after the status of review, when the submission was done less then three months ago.
